Coastal road from Antibes to Marseille & beyond

Hi there. Does anyone know whether it might be possible to cycle the coast road from Antibes to Marseille? And also beyond? I%26#39;m not a novice cycler, but certainly not experienced....but the distances don%26#39;t look too bad. I just don%26#39;t want to be on a motorway (and probably not allowed on a cycle anyway....not sure).

Also looking at the possibiliy of going further, i.e. to Montpellier and perhas Perpignan.

You can absolutely do this without being on a motorway. Just FYI roads in France are coded:

- A for Autoroute (toll road)

- N for route Nationale ain roads upkept at national level

- D for route Departementale smaller raods upkept at local department level

-C for chemin Communal very small local road upkept by the commune (town or village)

Bikes are allowed on N, D and C.

Follow this link where I draged (one advantage of Google Maps) the road to be the most coastal there is, and you will see that most are D, very scenic!
