A word of caution to anyone picking up carhire at Carcasonne airport, and requiring car seats...
My wife and I had booked car rental through holiday autos, requesting 2 car seats for our 23 month old twins (..Thats another travel topic in itself!) We arrived in at 1330 on a Friday, and managed to get the last 2 car seats which the provider (National) had. The family behind us in the queue were advised to wait until a car seat came in.
From chatting to a family who have lived in the region for a few years, anecdotely this seems a not untirely uncommon experience.
The only reason we hadn%26#39;t brought our own was because of the practicalities of lugging luggage, 2 buggies and 2 car seats in and out of an airport(..plus the kids if we had room) Next time we make the trip, should I have the kids carry their own, I think we%26#39;ll bring our own car seats.
