Accomodation

I have booked to travel by train from Paris to Avignon in mid July. I have 2 nights here before moving to booked accomodation in Uze. There is a festival on the dates i arrive in Avignon and the town is booked out of B and B or hostal type accomodation.Can anybody suggest a nearby town or alternatives to Avignon accomodation.Is Avignon the sort of town you just arrive and people with private rooms to rent tout at the train station?

There is nowhere in France that is like that. Just as there is nowhere in New Zealand.

Regardless of any festival, you have left it very late for booking accommodation in this area in July. I can only suggest that you have a try in Nimes or Arles.
