Restaurants / Bistros near Paris-Bercy

Hi All,

I have a few hours spare before getting on the dreaded night-train.....

Can anyone recommend a good, honest restaurant nearby? Preferably with a menu du jour, serving simple gallic cuisine. Cheap, obviously!

Thanks in advance!

I found the area surrounding the Bercy station a bit lacklustre in terms of availability of cafes, etc., but if you wander over near Gare de Lyon, you will find many more restaurants, cafes etc. Also, you might want to get a few supplies at the Monop near the Gare de Lyon for a picnic on your overnight train (dining car is crowded, not always seats available and overpriced).

If you%26#39;re interested, there is a luggage storage facility at Gare de Lyon so you can park your bags there while you wander around. It%26#39;s then about a 10 or 15 minute walk to Bercy station.

Where is the Bercy station in relation to Bercy Village?

Pixfield, Bercy station is by the big entertainment complex (Palais Omnisport), at the West side (roughly speaking) of the Bercy park. The %26quot;village%26quot; (stores, restaurants etc.) is at the East side of the park, about 600 metres away. It is best accessed by the metro stop Cour St Emilion, the next stop after Bercy on line 14 if you are coming from St Lazare or Chatelet etc.

Yes, thank you. Now I realize where it is. When I stayed in Bercy Village, I must have passed it several times without noticing it. I guess it does not have the %26quot;grandeur%26quot; that some of the other stations have.

I can confidently recommend a great resto near the Cour St-Emilion métro station, very near Bercy Village.

L%26#39;Auberge Aveyronnaise

40 rue Gabriel Lamé, 75012 Paris

Métro: Cour St-Emilion - Line 14, direction %26quot;Olympiades%26quot;

It%26#39;s a well managed and professionally run restaurant in the best Parisian tradition and the food is really great. It%26#39;s reasonably priced and a good value for quality. We strongly recommend this place after literally dozens of meals there over the years.

Good to see someone posted something .. from my memory this area is devoid of honest restaurants but I think the last time I tried was many years ago.

We%26#39;re eating at L%26#39;Auberge Aveyronnaise on Friday and can testify that there are good plenty of places to eat in/near Bercy Village.

At this point I%26#39;m curious about what an %26quot;honest%26quot; resto is on this thread...?
