Paris to Germany

Hi

Does anyone know if I can travel by train from Paris to Germany ?

My husband and I just booked our train ticket to Germany from Paris. We went onto the Eurorail site. There are lots of options but you should know that you should book in advance as they need to mail you your tickets.

Eurorail is an agency that charges a substantial fee on top of the ticket cost. Try www.voyages-sncf.com or www.tgv-europe.com

Depending where you are going in Germany, you can also purchase tickets on the Deutsche Bahn website which has an international section in English. I have found it a little easier than some of the other sites. We have twice gone from Frankfurt to Paris and back.

I have traveled by train between Paris and Germany often. If you want to buy your ticket in Paris, you can do so at a train station in the city or at an SNCF office. I%26#39;ve used the one on rue de Rennes near rue de Vieux Colombier in the 6th.

Where are you going to?

If doing Paris-Köln (Cologne in French) or Paris-Hamburg, the train name is THALYS and it operates from GARE DU NORD.

If doing Paris-Frankfurt (Francfort in French) or Paris-Munich or Paris-Stuttgart, the train could be the French TGV or the German ICE. Both operate from GARE DE L%26#39;EST.

If doing Paris-Berlin, it is a night train operating from GARE DU NORD.

A good site for rail advice is www.seat61.com

Of course you can, but where in Germany?
