GPS Walking in Paris

Has anyone had experience with walking around paris with a GPS. I think it would be fun to map the day%26#39;s walk. Also, we are three separate groups. It would be fun to compare our daily routes. Also, if anyone has advice on a particular unit that works well in Paris. Thanks
