Any Help gratefully received

Hello

We are travelling to the Brantome area for the first time in September I would be grateful of any info or recommendations with regard to restaurants places we can cycle to, as we will not have a car and any places where we may be able to swim in the river.

Hope there is someone out there to help as Trip Advisor members have helped to ensure we have had many wonderful holidays in Italy, Spain and Greece and this our first time to France.

Cheers

Jayne

HI THERE,

It is great to hear that you have received assistance regarding other countries from TA respondants. Interestingly enough, you are the second person who has asked a similar question - where can I visit in the Dordogne region without a car?!! In responding to the previous %26quot;caller%26quot;, I noted that there are so many stupendous villages in the Dordogne area - fortunately you have chosen one of them as a place to locate - and September is absolutely great. We go to the Dordogne/Lot region every year - I must say, we really couldn%26#39;t take full advantage of the region without renting a car.

A town you must not miss, and I am certain you will not is Sarlat - a picturebook town constructed of yellow sandstone - nearby are Domme and la Roque Gageac - these three are %26quot;musts%26quot;. There are many others that I and/or other TA members could provide -just do not know about transport issue.Check with your hotel or place of residence or tourist office in Brantome as to how to get to these places by public transport and where to swim - there must be a way!!Best of luck.

Thanks so much travelworld, I have marked Sarlat as a must visit it does look fab, we may decide once in Brantome to hire a car for a day or two if we feel brave.

I will try and find the tourist information in Brantome for further info.

Appreciate your reply

Jayne
