flying from paris to venice

We are looking to book a flight from Paris to Venice on 23 September. Our first time to Europe and wondering if we can cope with CDG airport! Some of the posts have me a little daunted-we little kiwis don%26#39;t fly that well!If we go Easyjet CDG to Venice -flight leaves 7am..what time would you recommend getting to CDG to get through booking-in, etc,on time?Or would Myair at Orly be a better proposition?

All advice gratefully accepted.Thanks.

We used Easyet and could not be happier.

We arrived at CDG about one hour and 15 minutes before the scheduled departing time and we were the first ones in the plane - my hubby loved that (we paid for the preferred seating thing or something like that) - Everything was perfect with Easyjet - nice crew, on time and very informative. If you have many pieces of luggage, make sure you pay for it in advance, it is expensive in the airport.

In contrast to the enthusiastic report from another poster, my husband and I had extremely disappointing flights to and from Venice. This was at the end of April this year. The flights were (both ways) more than one hour late. Also the flight from Venice to Paris had been cancelled, and we were put on a later flight (which was late). My most serious objection is the policy of not assigning seats. This created a hugh crush at the gate and then a pushing match trying to get on the plane. My husband, who is somewhat frail, was shoved aside on the way to the plane (from Venice). So I guess if you are young and aggressive you will do fine.

I will avoid Easyjet for this reason.

We flew MyAir from Orly last June and it was fantastic. I would definitely do it again.

Link to airlines services Paris to Venice

Also http://www.dohop.com/ does a good job of checking all airlines.

Be aware of the checked baggage limits as a $20 flight can turn into a $220 flight. I just ran into this in a Berlin to Paris flight where we had 10 KG too much luggage and the fee was an extra 80 euros.

Hmmm, food for thought! Thank you! I will check those links. We originally thought about training, but now think perhaps a day travelling would be a waste of time. Will just have to make a call and go with it, I guess.It%26#39;s the last little bit of my travel puzzle left to book. Thanks to you all for your advice.

To clarify..not training as in practising , although no doubt I could do with a little exercise.Very poor sentence structure..tired brain. Thanks again.

Check our www.skyscanner.com to get best deals. Beware of supplements on low cost airlines which can quickly turn them into very high cost airlines if you don%26#39;t conform
