Cost of parking in Cannes

How much is parking realistically going to cost me in Cannes. We will be staying at the Intercontinental Carlton friday aug 14 to monday aug 17. I plan on making day trips into the hill towns and to nice/monaco so I suspect that we will be gone a good portion of the time. I am comfortable driving in cities and parralel parking tight spaces.

We are planning on departing aix en provence on thursday morning and going to gorges du verdon. My wife wants to drive the coast from saint-rafael to cannes. I am debating where to overnight thursday. I am getting nothing cheap in saint-rafael or frejus. I can get a reasonable room in Flayosc for about $100. Alternatively I am getting the carlton for $120 so I could just go there from the gorges du verdon and backtrack to saint-rafael the next day.

Any advice?

Parking on the street in Cannes is free at lunch time between 12 noon and 2pm, after 7pm and all day on Sundays. The nearest and best value underground car park to the Carlton Hotel is Place Lamy

I would suggest overnighting close to St Raphael on Thursday rather than backtracking from Cannes to see the Esterel.

JUst stay in Cannes its perfect to see the Esterel and when one parks at a normal parking space in CAnnes without paying...NO problem you get a 11 euro fine for the whole day! They want take your car away! Its cheaper the a parking line.
