Gourmet de Seze and La Nef des Fous

Has anyone eaten recently in either Gourmet de Seze or La Nef des Fous. I will be visiting Lyon next week and would welcome some comments on these restaurants.

Have never eaten in either of these restaurants. If you understand French it could be useful to look at locals comments:

- reviews are excellent on Gourmet de Sèze; it is definitively not my neighborhood but I am going to test it! But you should be aware that there is no %26quot;carte%26quot; (what you call menu), only fixed menus, so check what is on the menu on the website before going (to be sure you will like the food!).

- reviews are not as good on La Nef des Fous, the decor is nice but the food average. Generally speaking you should avoid restaurants in this touristic part of the old town, with a few exceptions though...

Many thanks for this. Having decided, following your response, on Gourmet de Seze I find that it does not open on Monday which is the night we hoped to visit. It seems that many of the %26#39;fine dining%26#39; restaurants close on Monday? So back to the drawing board - or the Michelin Guide.

Yes I am afraid a lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays. But you could still enjoy one of the chef%26#39;s brasserie that are open 7/7:

- one of the Bocuse%26#39;s brasserie, for example Le Sud that has a nice terrace:

- one of the Lacombe%26#39;s brasserie, my favourite is Maison Villemanzy with the beautiful view from the terrace:

- or Georges Blanc%26#39;s Splendid:

Many, thanks, Only-Lyon, for those three wonderful suggestions. I will enjoy making the decision tomorrow and will report back to you on our return home - and also on our trip of the river boat with which you helped.
