Yes you can buy and print online.
The RER ticket is only 6euro r/t so buy it there.

Thanks for the tip. I assume that online entrance ticket will help to bypass the long q. Is there a special entry gate for pre-purchased ticket holders?
|||
There%26#39;s a separate entrance that%26#39;s pretty obvious -- when you print the pre-purchased tix there%26#39;s a map, and the signage onsite is good.
We bought the Passporte online which included audioguides and access to the fountains on Sunday (a week ago) -- truly amazing. The entry process was easy, just the security line which was painless. Once inside you join with the rest of the masses of course.
To buy RER tix you can go to the automated machine -- if you have the little chip on your credit card then you can use that, otherwise you%26#39;ll need exact change (coins only). Or you can wait at the ticket booth and pay with bills or magnetic stripe card.
We were staying beside Montparnasse station so we actually took the suburban commuter line instead of the RER because we didn%26#39;t have to deal with any line changes.

im traveling w/ 11 yr daughter n mom to paris from july 10-13 on a tight budget, I heard a lot of good things about versailles, but do i have to purchase a ticket for each exhibit? i want to the garden most especially, but how great is the fountain show for 25 euros and what do you suggest is a must to see there?
thanks

If you purchase the 25 euro ticket that is for everything,, I mean, the Hamlet( which you really must take dd to ,, my 12 yr old dd thought that was the best part of Versailles) and the Palace and gardens. If you go on the 10th (friday) ticket is cheaper as no fountain show. Personally,, the fountain show did not blow me out of my socks,, I thought the canned music was pretty lame,, poor tinny quality cheapened the affect to me,, but, I think I am in minority there)
Your dd is free.
|||
possibe correction, dd may not be free for gardens on fountain show day( palace still free),, but that is only 8 or 9 euros I think , and you can purchase that there, there is a seperate kiosks for gardens behind palace and lines are generally not in issue for them.
Have you looked at the Versialles online site,, they do have an english icon you can click on.

if i bought the museum pass, do I still need to get a ticket to Versailles or is it included?
|||
Included, but surcharge for gardens on Fountian days.

hi,
what%26#39;s dd? We%26#39;re arriving late afternoon from london so friday is impossible, i was thinking for saturday we%26#39;ll just go and enjoy the free museums n attractions in paris and then sunday for versailles.
We%26#39;re leaving monday around lunch time.
It says 9:00 for sunday for admission n 12:00 for m. antoinette for garden, what happens when we arrive late? may i bring a backpack?
