Toll Road Charges

I am arriving in Saint Malo, France on July 14th and driving down to Gers. A friend has told me that the Toll charges are suspended for the 14th. Can anyone confirm that as I suspect it may be a myth.

Sorry, this seems a myth; the only time they ever do this is when the staff go on strike.

I%26#39;ve checked the autoroute website and can find no mention of it (www.autoroutes,fr), nor can I find it mentioned on a news search on any French media. www.viamichelin.com suggests you may have to pay just over 100 euros each way.

Of course, it is Bastille Day, so you never know!

Bon vacances.

The actual tolls for St. Malo to Gers run just over 35 euros - the rest of the cost mentioned by the previous poster is Michelin%26#39;s estimate for petrol.

Thanks for the information, confirms my feeling that it is a myth. Can always hope for a strike but 35 Euros each way isn%26#39;t too much of a hardship.

Ooops!

I stand corrected. My apologies...thought it seemed a bit steep.
