We are a family of 4 wishing to rent an apartment in Paris. Has anyone used paris for rent/france for rent? We are in Australia, and this is an American company, and we are concerned about paying upfront before we even get there. Does anyone know if this is a reputable company???

Hi,
I have used them for my last stay in Paris in February 2009.
We are a family of 5 from Texas. The agency has a really good reputation and was recommended by a friends who use them last year. The apartment was like it was described on the site, no surprise except for the bottle of wine our greeter had for us.
We had send our arrival and departure information, and the greeter was waiting for us at the apartment with two set of keys. He showed us how to work the amenities. We called two times for a restaurant reservation and a taxi, he was really helpful. I will recommend Paris For Rent/France For Rent to my friends and family.

I would not put a lot of stock in anything waterpug says about this agency. In this thread (above) he or she claims to have stayed at an apartment in Paris though the agency in February.
In the following thread waterpug claims to have stayed in a Paris for Rent apartment called Bourg 2 in January. tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187147-i14-k28154…
In the following thread, waterpug claims to have stayed in a Paris for Rent apartment called Marais Picasso in December/January. tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187147-i14-k27562…
Would it surprise you to learn that waterpug has only posted five times on tripadvisor, and only to praise this agency?

wow, swift, brutal response by touring24 ... in any case
I%26#39;ve met the owner (Claude, who lives in San Francisco) of franceforrent.com and he is a very good guy and runs a solid agency. I also have several friends who rent their high quality apartments through him. I%26#39;d also suggest these agencies:
http://www.haveninparis.com
http://www.villeetvillage.com
http://www.athomeinfrance.com
which friends who have apartments have used and other friends who have rented from them...
