What will opened and closed on Bastille Day?

when we were there a few years ago, Louvre was free on Bastille day -- and since the French are not doing museums that day, it was actually very pleasant
we found plenty open and delightful local street parties that we joined in in the arrondisement where we were staying

Oh.... I thought you were referring to the opening track from the album %26quot;Caress of Steel%26quot; by RUSH... released September 1975....
%26quot;...But they%26#39;re marching to Bastille Day,
La guillotine will claim her bloody prize.
Free the dungeons of the innocent,
The king will kneel, and let his kingdom rise
Sorry.

We were in Paris last 14th July. We watched the parade from the Champs Elysees.
There is a festival atmosphere in the city and the military with their families are in all the cafes and restaurants after the parade.
Most restaurants seemed to be open and the odd supermarket plus the small %26quot;sell all%26quot; corner type shops.. There was a boulangerie open on Ave de la Motte Piquet and also one on rue Dominique. Also all the shops were open on Rue du Faubourg St Dennis in the 10th. We ate in Passage Brady a lovely indian meal.
So although some shops are closed there are enough to keep you supplied.
We visited the Petit place and Hotel des Invalides, both were free and uncrowded. I believe all the national museums are free on Fete national.
Note that all the metro stations around the Champs elysees were closed for security and the police were very strict in directing us around the area, you cannot move about freely.
In the evening there was a huge pop concert in the Parc du Champ de Mars followed by an amazing fireworks display.
