best french flea market for paper ephemera etc.

Hi I will be in Paris next week and am looking for the best places to shop for vintage laundry ribbons, books, ledgers, paper ephemera, small tokens that could be used for altered art projects. Any help would be great.

Thanks, Hailey

You could have a look at the flea market at Porte de Vanves, which specializes in %26quot;vieux papiers de collection%26quot;, clothing, etc.

It%26#39;s in the 14th arrondissement, near Vanves.

Av. Georges Lafenestre: Saturday, Sunday 7h - 19h30.

Avenue Marc Sangnier: Saturday from 7h until 14h, Sunday from 7h until 19h30

Métro : Porte de Vanves

I second that recommendation, we were at Porte de Vanves last week and there were at least a few vendors with really cool antique papers, old labels, etc., as well as others with things like old keychains, matchbooks, ribbons, etc.

For the real specialists, there%26#39;s a yearly %26quot;Salon du Livre et Vieux Papiers%26quot; at the Espace Champerret in the 17th arrondissement. This year, it%26#39;s from Oct 23rd - Nov 1st. More info (in French) on www.joel-garcia-organisation.fr
