Lunch in Paris in Summer

Can anyone recommend somewhere that has outdoor seating that%26#39;s reasonably central and not too expensive?!!

You cannot get much more outdoorsy than this...

And not very far away on the Ile St Louis is the Brasseris D%26#39;Ile St Louis with a nice outdoor seating area.

Café de l%26#39;homme at Trocadéro has a huge outdoor seating with a beautiful view on Eiffel Tower (often recommended on TA).

These are not the most central locations, but if you are in the 16th or in the 17th arrondissements, you should try:

- Bistrot des Dames, that has a very nice garden (you have to make a reservation!):

- La Gare has a very nice and calm outdoor seating on the former train station platforms:

There are probably more restaurants with outdoor seating than without. Don%26#39;t obsess about finding a place beforehand. Just look in your immediate neighborhood once there.

I agree there are a lot of outdoor seating but it is most of the time a tiny spot very close to the cars! I assumed the OP is actually looking for a quiet terrace, not one of the thousands cafés on the pavement...

Chez Marianne near the rue de Rosiers on rue de Hospialeres is a wonderful summer choice. Hummus, smoked salmon, blinis etc and other kosher-style food.

If you are going to the Picasso Museum, walking around the Marais or near Place des Vosges it is convenient and wonderful place for lunch. It is just down the sreet from l%26#39;Ecrier(spelling??) the cool select fashion shop and the historic Jewish area of Paris.

Another favorite are the 2 restaurants on the Place Victor Hugo.If you in the Arc area and then are going to the Eiffel Tower. Walk down Victor Hugo. These restaurants are very local and offer typical dishes in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

That said, if you want to spend a bit more, the restaurant on the roof of the Beaubourg is alsway amazing on a summer day. The service is spotty(we%26#39;ve had the most wonderful welcome and the worst indifference) and the food although more than adequate is not a gastronomic experience, but the view, well is just jaw dropping. Otherwise just follow Puntalugano%26#39;s advice an relax and eat when you find a place that looks interesting. It isn%26#39;t worth running around to find this or that place.
