Ok, I give up. I have searched past forums without much success. I am looking for a great place to have cassoulet in Paris. I thought about Au Trou Gascons, but it will be closed when we will be there 12/16-1/1. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Got the dates wrong- should read 12/26-1/1. Sorry.

You bet. Try Auberge Pyrénées Cévennes at 106 r. Folie Mericourt. It%26#39;s in the 11th. Reserve at 01 43 57 33 78. The plate of cassoulet was delicous and enough to feed an army.

Bistro l%26#39;Oulette does a fine Cassoulet, also nice lambs kidneys.

Le Violon d%26#39;Ingres, a Christian Constant restaurant at 135, rue Saint Dominique in the 7th, serves an individual sized cassoulet that is so good - great winter food. Telephone No. 01.45.44.15.05 (closed Sundays and Mondays).

Agree with Happygoin that Auberge Pyrenees Cevennes is really wonderful. Not at touristy, and very friendly. We love it.

Yes, Violon d%26#39;Ingres is probably the best cassoulet for one person that you will find.
Enjoy..

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions! I am so looking forward to this trip, especially some great dining experiences.

Hi: Anybody have any recent reviews on cassoulet? I used to depend on Thoumieux but recent reviews are disturbing.

We have had cassolet once each trip at the Brasserie D%26#39;Ile St Louis. We split an onion tart as an app and always share a bottle of their house red wine. Last trip...Brasserie St Lo $58.52 (e44.50)
