air france bus

Does anyone know which bus goes from CDG airport to the Marriott Rive Gauche? Thanks, Linda

Dear Ikwillinois,

I don%26#39;t think any of the Air France buses go to that hotel. The Air France bus I take from CDG stops first at Porte Maillot and then L%26#39;Etoile (Arc de Triomphe.) I go all the way to E%26#39;Etoile. From there, I pick up a taxi to take me to my hotel. The bus stops in a narrow street, and the taxi stand is across the street. I%26#39;ve never had to wait more than a minute or two from a taxi.

The Roissy Bus may take you closer to your hotel. Unfortunately, I%26#39;ve never taken that bus, so cannot say. You may want to post another question as to which of the two buses, Roissy or Air France, will get you closer to your particular hotel. You may also want to list the street and Arr. your hotel is on and in.

Bonne chance and bon voyage.

I would like to know what bus to take from CDG to the Marriott Rive Gauche which is at 17 Boulevard St Jacques. It doesn%26#39;t need to be an Air France bus just whatever gets us there or as close as possible, Thanks, Linda

The most direct public transportation from CDG airport to 17 Boulevard St Jacques would be the RER B to Denfert Rochereau. The Place Denfert Rochereau is at the end of Boulevard St Jacques and it would take you about 5 or so minutes to walk from there to your hotel.

If your preference is for a bus, the Air France coach line 4 goes to Gare Montparnasse (via Gare de Lyon). The Gare Montparnasse is probably about a mile from your hotel so you could either get a taxi the rest of the way or take metro line 6 (direction Nation) to metro stop St-Jacques or Glaciere, either of which would be a couple of minutes walk to your hotel.

Thanks to everyone for the good info on getting into Paris from the airport. I think we will take the RER B as Laura suggests. Linda

may I jump in?

we%26#39;re staying in the 5th, near Blvd. St. Germain %26amp; St. Jacques and will take either the bus or RER B from there to CDG on departure morning.

any preference on bus vs. train for reliability?

is Air France or Roissy more reliable

would Gare Lyon or Gare Montparnesse be a better departure point from where we%26#39;re staying?

thank you.

Does anyone know how long the Air France bus from CDG takes compared with the RER B to Denfret-Rochereau? We are arriving early on a Sunday morning.

|||

The closest bus to Marriott Rive Gauche would be the Air France coach to Gare Montparnasse, about 1.8 km from the hotel. You could take the metro from Gare Montparnasse, but it%26#39;s an enormous station with many hallways and stairways. Better bet would be to take a taxi. Advantages of Air France coaches is that stops are located in all the terminals and they handle your bags for you.

The RER to Denfert/Rochereau will get you just over .5 km from the hotel.

All methods of getting to the hotel are %26quot;reliable%26quot;.

If you plan to take the RER, you%26#39;ll have to manage your bags on long walks, stairs, through turnstiles. Unless you have Euro coins for the automated ticket machines, there could be a very long line for tickets using Euro bills or credit cards.

To RUE Saint-Jacquest/Blvd Saint-Germain, you%26#39;d get off the RER at Saint-Michel - about .5 km away. Gare de Lyon would be just over 2km away, Gare Montparnasse just under 2km.

May I jump in on this? We are staying at the

Renaissance Paris Hotel Le Parc Trocadero

55-57 Avenue Raymond Poincare

Paris, 75116 France

Should we take the Air France bus? Does anyone know if they give discounts for 4 people?

Thanks!

|||

Air France bus does not give discounts for 4 people. It was 14 euro last fall one way each person.

For anyone wanting transportation information about how to reach a hotel from CDG, I might suggest that your first check your hotel%26#39;s website. Most will provide transportation details to their location.
